Pam Pedlow was kind enough to lead a workshop called "Core For Clubhead Speed," at our 2004 BC PGA Spring Education Seminar in Victoria .  From all accounts the BC PGA members were extremely impressed with Pam's ability to link the importance of a solid and stable core with the correct execution of the golf swing. She gave the Teaching Professionals in attendance a lot of drills and exercises to take back to their lesson programs and institute with their pupils.

Thanks Again, Pam!

Re: Conditioning for Multidirectional Sports sessions

I am a 31 year old personal trainer on the North Shore and I also play semi-pro football with the Bellingham Avalanche. As a trainer, I have used various types of training and conditioning programs. I started to weight train at the age of 19. I found that traditional weight training it concentrates on specific muscle groups and not movement patterns. I noticed I was gaining muscle mass but getting slower and less flexible.

Training with conditioning specialists Chad and Pam has given me the ability to create a training program to address my specific needs. I have reduced muscular imbalances, as well as increased my speed and agility, which is crucial for athletes such as myself.

This type of resistance conditioning program is ideal for basketball and football players who want to spend more time training core stability and would like to improve speed, agility and quickness.

This type of training program is very helpful in preventing injuries such as sprained ankles and torn knee ligaments. I highly recommend CMDS as a personal trainer to average everyday people and as an athlete to other elite athletes who are looking for a training program that will bring them to the next level. Now that I am finished the first five week program, I can't wait to start the next one!

Sincerely,
Clinton Payne

Dear Pam,

Many thanks for your training advice throughout my Ironman training year. I couldn’t have done it without you!

Your program helped me develop the overall fitness level I needed to train intensively, injury-free, for a year. Given the task ahead of me at the outset, this was no small feat! Your core and strength training workouts and positive, can-do approach were just what I needed to get to that start line with confidence and complete the race with a great result.

Thanks again, Pam, for both your expertise and encouragement. I look forward to our next collaboration!

Sincerely,
Jan Selman

It is with great pleasure that I provide a letter of recommendation for Pam. During the twenty years that I have known Pam, she has always demonstrated tremendous skill and motivation as an educator.

Pam has provided one-on-one consultation for Workplace Wellness Solutions, when rehabilitation was the primary goal. Her tenacious approach to evaluation and intervention has been rewarded with much success. Her clients experience improved levels of wellness, develop a clearer understanding of their body, and learn invaluable lifestyle skills.

I have also witnessed Pam’s abilities as a speaker. I have seen her present to fitness leaders on several topics and each time the entire “presentory package” has quite surpassed my expectations. Her ability to distinguish facts that are vital (versus those that are incidental) is exemplary. Her delivery tends to be intense with a splash of humour.
Unfortunately, words often fall short when describing that personality blend that spells success. Seeing is believing. Pam’s style and choice of topic will pique the curiosity of the weary cynic. I may say with confidence that you shall never have occasion to regret choosing Pam Pedlow to present to any and all audiences.

Sincerely,
Mary Jane Murphy

I have been Pam Pedlow's client for the past several months. I am very active (running, cycling, cross-country skiing, pilates, etc.) and started personal training sessions with Pam to augment these activities. I was specifically interested in sports conditioning sessions to improve my running. Since starting with Pam I quickly discovered that the sports conditioning work has become essential to my fitness regime. Not only has Pam developed excellent exercises for my specific needs, she has continually challenged me with sensible, progressive changes to my work. She has guided me safely and sequentially from the beginning stages to where I am now. My running has improved, I am feeling stronger, I am highly motivated and have been injury free throughout this process.

As well as being completely professional and competent, Pam is also a warm, friendly, engaging person. She has a natural ability to develop a rapport quickly with clients and supports their efforts with humour, constructive suggestions and a wonderful ability to adapt work to individual needs. She is always well prepared and follows up personal sessions with meaningful, readable notes that are very easy to follow. She is also available for follow up questions or clarifications after the sessions are over.

I continue to train with Pam because she effectively supports my progress by challenging me continuously, making training fun and offering positive support and exceptional value. Pam is thorough, competent and professional. She is also warm, approachable and non-threatening. Pam is clearly an expert in her field and I would recommend her, without hesitation, to anyone seeking a personal trainer.

Please contact me if you would like to follow up or need any additional information.
